Waterford UPSTART provides four-year-old children access to the highest form of academic support in their early education at no cost to participants: personalized family education and coaching, a new computer and Internet if needed, and adaptive educational software.
The average Waterford UPSTART graduate enters kindergarten reading at nearly a first-grade level and maintains their gains for years to come.
Horace Mann was, and East Ridge continues to be, a school where learning is forefront. The students at the school have had high achievement scholastically in all areas. In 2015 the school was named a REWARDS school for the state of Utah, and then given the designation of National Title I Distinguished School for academic achievement. We were the only elementary school in the state to receive that designation for that year. We have a strong emphasis in science and technology and have had a Lego League and Science Fairs throughout the years. Our students have been known to light a rocket or two during the last few days of school!
